I don't normally doompost, but the realization has only just now set in. Pony Life and G5 were pieces of shit and I didn't even watch them, yeah, but now I realize that I took some subconscious solace in the fact that MLP was still being continued in some form, no matter how low-quality. They served as buffers that cushioned the end of FiM. But now it's all gone and all subsequent projects were aborted before they even started (plus Hasbro permanently killing all Transformers and GI Joe projects, implying they're cleaning house in general). It's an unprecedented emptiness for the fandom. I'm not saying the ride is over, but it's as close to being over than ever

I have a feeling G6 is going to be aa good as season 1 G4, don't worry.

The Oracle here, G6 of mlp will be a reboot of G4 with the same characters however things will be altered and changed so as to make it fresh with a focus on more episodes about underexplored characters and more fantasy adventure stuff.

I don't consider G5, Pony Life, Tamers, or EQG to be part of pony or mlp. You don't need any of that substandard trash to get some kind of solace that MLP continues in some fashion. The ride for you ends only when you personally decide it ends, or when you die; whichever comes first. For me, new episodes of G5 play in my head all the time. So, no need for some external agent to generate pony content for me.

It's nice to have some time to reflect or relax before the storm comes.

Based on early G6 documents, there will be a lot of parallels to modern-day USA. Not in terms of tech or culture, but messaging. Don't forget, in-house scripts for G4 had one of the ponies almost call Neighsay Trump before correcting himself.
They will make G6 be a longstanding message against the Trump Administration and the GOP/MAGA as a whole. According to a deleted tweet by one of the alleged G6 writers, an episode is/was planned that involves an immigration crisis and them ultimately coming to terms with Twilight Nation (working title for pony nation) being once stolen land, so they share it with other creatures. Sound familiar?

And I don't mean suck for us. I mean it has to be twee, dainty brand-poison, the way it was in the 90s.
Lauren Faust was allowed to do what she wanted precisely because the suits didn't give a shit. The show got worse because it started making too much money. Then some execs started wanting to write for it to put it on their resumes, and others kept sending more voluminous notes on what the writers could and couldn't do.
