I don't. Speaking personally, I didn't play Fo3 prior to reading the first 20 or so chapters of FoE. Once I did it shattered my belief that the fanfic was super creative at tying together the different IPs. It became "oh... the fic just literally ponified this thing". New Vegas I played prior to reading and it was fine because the fic didn't recycle the plot or locations of New Vegas. FoE is great if you're mildly interested in the lore of Fallout and love ponies, but it loses it's glamour once you've become too familiar with Fallout itself. Thing but pony doesn't do it for me unless it's creative in playing to both IPs.

Fallout Equestria was fine for the time but it was shit.
PH was the same and everyone collectively agrees that stopping reading after the boat rape BJ death arc is the best point to end on because it just gets retarded and anime-but-ponies.
Now, a GOOD and well thought out Fallout x Pony story is Fallout Equestria Renewal by ElbowDeepInAHorse, it's set in it's own canon freed from Kkats crappy world and is much more gritty and realistic as well as phenomenally well written.

Reading Renewal now and it is a much better story than the original (although the setting feels a little mundane).
However I can't agree on PH, the ending of book 2 is absolutely miserable and stopping there will leave you feeling angry and depressed. Either stop reading around chapter 25, or stick it out to chapter 56 for the Gala threesome, then make up your own headcanon ending for BJ and pals after that.

Hard disagree. The author has zero idea about how to manage tension. I got to CH18 and he's now thrown the MC twice at an impossible situation with no weapons or supplies and I'm here like "Gee bill, I'm not even halfway through the story, I guess that's it for the main trio then."

Also I found myself giving zero fucks about the pre-war backstory he's spent most of the double digit chapters on now. I skipped the most recent bit with Spitfire and RD since the author had the fantastic idea of first telling how it goes and then spending half a chapter showing how it goes. Plus, the pre-bombs characters are very dull and uninteresting and he's turned a lot of them into cold and evil for... well, plot reasons I guess. Especially the princesses who cling to power like tyrants because the plot needs it I think.

Then there's how I first felt like nothing's happening for the first 10 chapters and then suddenly he spins up like three additional plot threads that are now all running simultaneously.

I do like the Wasteland he's come up with, though. So far, I rate it a 6/10. Aurora is a bit too flawless but apart that I like the trio and a lot of the side characters.
