I've been getting through season four but I've slowed down significantly compared to previous seasons. Hopefully I'll like season five more.

I was expecting more "Never"s

I'm a weird spot where I've seen S1 and S2 over 30 times each, S3-S5 15 times, and S6-S9 2-5 times. But that was all while the show was still airing. I haven't actually sat through more than 1 or 2 episodes in the past 5 years and stopped watching the Annis because I didn't want to spoil my rewatch, but the rewatch just never happened. Yet I'm still as obsessed with ponies as ever and am trying to write my own OC pony series with the intention of getting it animated when AI tech becomes good enough.

What does it mean to care about MLP? The show ended 6 years ago, and the last 2 seasons were garbage. There's only so much you can talk about before people start turning to fan works for more pony content.

I had a somewhat similar experience, except I binged the whole show and spinoffs pretty late. Mostly from a parking structure at my uni, and in 2023 so I didn't feel any need to want to criticize an already ended show. So I had an enjoyable experience over every part of it, pony life included. Although I probably would have had much worse regards for it if it was treated as canon
