I think its possible to be reborn in equestria. The way I see it, the body is a manifestation of the soul's ability to apply its free will in a world so if the body is destroyed that means that the soul gets disconnected from this world and then has to go somewhere else that will reflect that soul's character. So someone nice will be reborn in a nicer world like equestria. I don't know if I'm really deserving of it yet though so I'll try to keep living and do good things like drawing ponies and my life isn't really that bad to justify trying to go through the portal yet. If I ever get old or sick I'd do it if I can get the courage though. At that point you can't really do much good in the world anyways.

Because you have no knowledge of your previous life, that would mean that you're basically just a completely different person.
Even if you did regain your memories, you would still be a different person.
That means you still die.

Personally, I'm a connection squatter. If we model the body as the way the soul affects the world or something behind the world, what if, reciprocally, the world is the way something affects the soul? This world is currently not very nice, therefore, by the same logic, it might get reconnected to shittier souls.
