Based on how hard it is for her to hover I'm pretty sure her glide would be very inefficient, thus meaning she'd have to flap to reduce speed more often and thus get tuckered out quicker, but it could be that pegasi magic means gliding's way more viable for her than it may seem.

Scoots does okay at first, then it's a desperate fight between her endurance and the distance..
I looked it up, and it doesn't sound like it would take that long to hit the ground at full speed from even the top of the atmosphere, just a few minutes, so... if she flaps and glides and does her best.. might take her 10 minutes or more to drop safely. that's an intense workout. but adrenaline would surely help.
