If you draw Derpies, please try to the extent possible to show her eye derp. I am astonished by the amount of Derpy art that either shows no Derp, or conveniently only one eye, or she is winking.
If Derpy winked at me I would see the eye closed for just a moment but then see her derp again. When you have the pic with that eye permanently closed, it is hiding a quality of Derpy that I love.
I don't think it's done on purpose. In order to know I would have to see the ratio of winking and one eye visible arts for other popular mares. When I'm feeling a bit more autistic I might just do that and present results.
In the meanwhile please respect that some of us adore the derp eyes, and would want nothing more than to lose ourselves in them while eating muffins with this adorable creature.
