This board is truly dead, but what a blast from the past. 10th of October 2015 was ten years ago!
What where you doing when this episode aired? I was still going to high school and I watched the stream live, I remember the surprise when they finally got the mark

This was my favorite moment. I like how Silver's voice was deeper here.

Still upset we never got a Silver Spoon episode after this. Would have loved to see her ask the CMC for help with a problem and how she interacts with them.

Pertaining to that, I believe people got too used to seeing them without cutie marks or attached to made up fan shit. If they started with those designs in season 1, I can tell you with utmost confidence that nobody would be whipping out their graphic design degrees over it the way they do now.

Yeah, I completely agree with you and the other anon. DT and SP should have had at least ONE episode after this. Even Vul made a song about the depressing fact that they just... Vanished from the world after fulfilling that role.

The most notable thing I remember is how leaks were around about the Halloween episode which could have ruined the surprise but thankfully in none of the shots did they show their cutie marks. The leaker probably knew but didn't want to ruin the surprise.

Same. The episode had good music. But the marks and reason thereof were not special to me. The marks are kinda ugly. And i hate that they are the same and lazily allow them to continue being the cmc. Wow some milestone.

DTs singing was really cute. And i like that the M6 were super proud. That was comfy. Very mixed feelings on the ep.

Sorry was going to create a thread about it but got busy.
I do remember being in a livestream for this. As soon as the songs kept piling on it was getting obvious that they’d get their cutie marks, (and there was also that Season 5 poster with the CMC silhouettes showing off their flanks). The excitement died a little when the cutie marks were revealed to be rather similar, but it was still a really great moment.

The mention of AJ’s parents caught everyone off guard though. I guess it was going to be hinted at eventually, but still though.
