Bad news is Herooftime1000 has finally given up on finishing Octavia in the Underworld's Cello himself. Too much life stuff got in the way, and his love for pony died out.

Good news is that he has publicly released the whole source code of the game with all the assets, including unfinished animations. So if anyone here wants to take a crack at finishing what he started, have at it. He also left an email contact in the folder in case you need some consulting from him.

Many people just lack artistic drive, or lack a community that can keep their progress in check. When a project gets to the double-digits number of years, and each update takes a year to happen, then you're probably in too deep and it's not surprising to abandon ship, because at that point there's been a problem for a LONG time and nothing's being done to address it. Okay. I'm guessing this is your issue? If so, then all you need to do is delete the extra quotation, parenthesis, and semicolon at the end there. The game should be able to run then, though there might be other issues that I haven't noticed yet.

But, this is assuming you're using the newest version of AGS. I downloaded version 3.4.1, and the code seems to run perfectly fine.

This demo is a lot bigger than I remembered it being.

Made it to where the demo normally would end. And just as in the demo, trying to enter the guarded doorway ends with a game over screen, even after gaining the protection spell.

So, time to actually examine the source code and see what I can do.

It's certainly not short, especially if you need time to figure out the puzzles and solutions. I remember my first playthrough of the demo taking me a number of play sessions to beat. At LEAST 10 hours, especially if you factor in different decisions and outcomes.

The demo alone I'd estimate covers roughly 70% of what the complete game would be, and the addition of the finished parts found in the source code probably bumps that up to about 90%.
