How exactly was this timeline bad again?

The only bad thing is that Moonie didn't instantly vaporize Twilicorn the moment she saw her

>autist can't pick up on subtle clues
She was clearly running a totalitarian state with all the usual drawbacks. Competes with the Sombra timeline for second least bad one (behind Flim & Flam) though, depending on how much you value freedom (and daylight) over not being at war.

Such as? Compared to Twilight's "free" Creaturequestia?

Bad timeline? Black Snooty is badass and Rarity looks sexy.

Such as? The staff not recognizing an alicorn from another timeline? Rarity being racist against dragons?
You think that Celestia's guard wouldn't have reacted the same way to a pony threatening her like Twiggles threatened Nightmare?

NMM, unlike Celestia and Luna, doesn't expect 6 little ponies from hickville to defend Equestria against threats. She goes out and deals with them on her own, she's killed Tirek, Discord, and Chrysalis.

Celestia is such a bad ruler that autocracy or totalitarianism aren't such a bad alternative in Equestria... Yes, you sacrifice freedom and the absence of censorship, but at least you know you'll be protected from any threats as long as you remain loyal.

Why do moonfags pretend that flim and flam didn't also defeat all the other villains in their timeline? NMM literally jobbed to two vaudeville conmen kek

Twilight did no threatening (though she visited outside visiting hours). Instead the guards threaten dungeon over a mere question. Also the guards' reaction to Celestia's name. NMM wanting the time travel magic only for herself. Immediate use of coercion for barely a sign of subterfuge. And obviously, wanting to destroy the Elements of Harmony, denoting clearly she knows her reign is not proper.

Look I can agree a NMM dommy mommy would be hot but you can just ask Luna to RP that with you, you don't need to make Equestria suffer for it.

If you believe that there is some kind of magical bullshit energy that eminates from the moon that fixes all problems, you should probably be thrown down a ravine - by Celestia's order herself. Temperatures will drop sub zero. Crops won't grow. Settlements will be flooded. Salinity rises. Sleep cycles of all living beings disrupted. Millions will starve. This nightmare is the logical conclusion to her triumph.

I would personally write NMM takeover scenario such as the world starts to freeze and ponies starve, and NMM has to begrudgingly raise the sun for while to let crops grow. She keeps the day gloomy and overcast and clears the sky only at night.

>Twilight Sparkle: I have to get back to the map so I can stop Starlight from changing the past, because every present I come to is worse than the last!
>Nightmare Moon: Time travel, you say? Now that's something I would like to see.
I dunno bro. If you have a time traveller show up in your house talking about how they need to go back and fix the horrible timeline they're in, that sounds like a clear threat. For all Nightmare knew, Twiggles was going to make sure she never made it back from the moon.
>NMM wanting the time travel magic only for herself.
As opposed to Celestia keeping the time travel spells locked in her library that's patrolled by guards at all times.
>Immediate use of coercion for barely a sign of subterfuge.
How else do you prevent a time traveller from leaving if not by taking a hostage?
>Instead the guards threaten dungeon over a mere question. Also the guards' reaction to Celestia's name.
Rainbow Dash is retarded. I dunno what else to tell you. Their fears were unfounded, Nightmare was her usual giggly adorable self.
>And obviously, wanting to destroy the Elements of Harmony, denoting clearly she knows her reign is not proper
Lol. Lmao even. The Elements are not the arbiters of true justice.
Nightmare does nothing worse than Celestia has done. The only difference is that Twiggles isn't Nightmare's favorite pet.

Celestia is already an autocrat, and a pretty good one at that! Her only check are the nobles, which are all dumb as rocks and lick her clit for social points.

>For all Nightmare knew
She doesn't even make an attempt to understand without force, she just hears time travel and immediately feels threatened without even trying to find out what exactly is worse or who Starlight is.
>As opposed to Celestia keeping the time travel spells locked in her library
Judging by It's About Time, that wing of the library isn't particularly restricted outside of Twilight's imagination.
>How else do you prevent a time traveller from leaving
Why does she think she needs to prevent her from leaving? And unless you're restraining the time traveller themselves, taking a hostage doesn't seem that useful either desu.
>Rainbow Dash is retarded
>Their fears were unfounded, Nightmare was her usual giggly adorable self.
Again, unable or unwilling to read the clearly presented clues. Dash isn't the only one to react and they were clearly expecting a different reaction.
By the way, is this one of two canon appearances of batponies? I'm not sure I noticed the ear tufts on the other guards before because all everyone ever mentions is the helmets that change the eye shape.
>The Elements are not the arbiters of true justice.
They kind of are depicted as such, but even if not, why would she fear them being used against her if her reign is as great as you pretend?
>Nightmare does nothing worse than Celestia has done
Lol. Lmao even. Even without arguing about whether eternal night can be magically counteracted, Celestia at the very least kept both day and night.
