Sounds like a very beautiful opening to a lengthier song. I like your keyboard playing. But I'd be happier for it to go on longer and develop into a more realized song.

Did you make this by yourself?! JFC, that's sick. Even if you did have a band or smth, it sounds great. Especially that outro.

this makes me want to be a better keyboard player. this is mystical and cool.

pretty high level riffage. I love that you can mix the scale runs in with the thrash. really cool chord choices. this guy plays a lot of guitar

Does barely anyone on /mu/ make music or why is this thread so dead? :(

The most recent songs I learned on guitar are 'Deftones - Moana' and 'Cannibal Corpse - Drain You Empty' (shared tuning), but I can't record them now, and my trigger finger is acting up so I'm holding an ice pack.

Pic rel is an original, a 4-5 minute song that I worked on 6 months ago, haven't fully tabbed it out though, or recorded.

Some old riffs in B Minor:

Would play guitar a lot more if I could. (and synth)

This is maybe my fifth song I've ever made in a DAW, it's called 'A Newbie's Homage to Enduser' (2022).

I spent a week on it and just gave up mid mixing because I got sick of it, the chorus is ok, but a lot of errors throughout and some off beat bs.

Chillout elevator music beat

I'm most proud of this one - 'Aindullim'. It's a portmanteau of 'Aindulmedir', a great dungeon synth project and 'Limgrave' https://youtu.be/PMdk99q2yw0 as inspiration. Poured a lot of heart and sadness intp it even though I had zero music theory or DAW knowledge. I guess it's dark ambient.

>good arpeggio tune butchered hard but I really like the general chord melody especially when it gets to the 2nd part with an Asus2

Sick af i wish i could play an instrument to make actual music

>>126698291
Did you write the song is is it a cover? I love the opening chords

>>126701381
That elevator music would fit so well in a creepy platformer game xd

>>126701609
The chords of in the second song are very pretty.

Any classical nerd here to tell me if it's any good ? There's stuff I like but i struggle with the overall structure and basic musescore playback is good but does sound very robotic.

learning songs by ear on guitar is already tough for me but trying to figure out synth parts is genuine hell

https://voca.ro/1iLlKuzPWAiv

had a go at trying to remaking a john maus song. 90% of the time i cant really tell what notes are even being played with the synth pads and trying to find a preset and fiddling around to the point its simillar is tough
i feel like im retarded when trying to figure out how people actually use synths (and the fact that 80% of presets on software synths seem fucking useless doesnt help)
and i dunno if theres even a better way of going about it other than brute force

I think you have a pretty pleasant voice. Along with the guitar it captures that slightly whimsical, laid back sense of swing very nicely to me. This sounds like the outro to an old TV show to me.

The riffs in the first audio remind of Dawn a bit. They have potential. If you develop them a bit a more and add some melodies on top I could see them being pretty haunting metal.
