I liked Song Machine.
Although Albarn did that retarded shit where a bunch of bonus tracks were released on the Deluxe edition even though they really should have been on the album. Like I listen to both version and the "main" version just feels unfinished ending on Momentary Bliss (which is also one of the weaker tracks on the album).

all of them do at some point
Either they disband early or they keep going untill they're old fucks with no creativity just hamming it
Name on band that didnt disband, kept going and didnt go to shit, thats the ACTUAL challenge

Rivers is the most self-hating successful musician we've ever had. He knows he's capable of writing good stuff but will release an album of 80s cover songs just to throw his band under the bus. >>126698929 >Most of these should have called it quits long ago.
If you're a good artist, you don't just stop making music.

How?
I agree that his best album are in the middle of his career and were amazing.
But what’s he’s releasing now is still okay/good, and even if it’s not as energetic as before, he’s still a great songwriter
Has Gorillaz REALLY fallen hard tho? Demon Days only went a couple times platinum. A fall off would be Chance The Rapper. He was featured on songs that went at least 5 times platinum and none of his recent releases even crack the Rap and R&B charts
The first album and Tom Scholz production legacy will live on forever but they really could've done more. As genius as Scholz is, it came with a whole lot of perfectionism

They did crush their momentum but I dunno if they truly fell off. They released an album in 1994 that went Platinum as Grunge was in full throttle
Have a Nice Life
I forgive the Unnatural World because it grew on me, but Sea of Worry is a mixed bag. The remake of Destinos was bad, plus the real drums just don't fit.
every single artist I listened to in the 90's and 2000's.
They peaked then, they are shit now.
There are ZERO artists from those two decades that are still active that make even slightly better music now, it's all orders of magnitude worse.

Green Day should just call it quits and then quietly tour out the rest of their time as Foxboro Hot Tubs. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to do some old school rock n roll love songs in your old age but trying to cop punk street cred for the new stuff is kind of goofy.

Say whatever about Rage Against The Machine...they don't just kiss the Democratic Party's ass. They call them out too. Green Day is just partisan hacks. George Bush made them the most mainstream they ever were, did nothing under Obama, and have been trying to recapture those Bush glory days with Trump.

He's been releasing crap for about 15 years now. The 'spoken word over Warren's synth loops albums all suck' and Wild God sounds like ai generated music. The Bad Seeds as we knew them no longer exist at this point tbqh, Blixa and Mick leaving set into motion the gradual takeover that's turned it into just Warren and Cave.

Fall of Troy had a rough demo,.a half good LP, and one good album where half the songs are just re-recordings of old songs. But damn is it good.
