unfortunately the data doesn't lie - the largest purchasing group being <30 has a drastically higher song skip rate and the best way to get streams, revenue and algo push is to not have songs skipped. Its important to get past the first 30s as that cuts skip rate in half.
In the realm of free listening (of course we'll never have the perfect data) but it looks like ad breaks get served based off both songs played and amount of time. The two common estimated thresholds are: has it been 6 songs, or 15 min? its ok to serve an ad break
So if you can comfortably fit 6 songs into that 15min window (2m30s average) then you're less likely to have an ad break show up during listening to an artist. When an ad break pops up people are more likely to be "taken out" of their listening and be inspired to change to something else.
Not saying that MODHAUS is making songs explicilty to maximize revenue and algo push, but the overall data indicators will tell you: songs in the 2:00-2:50 range right now do better in aggregate than songs that are longer than 3 minutes.
