Fantano sucks Lou Reed's dick a little too hard, and Adam isn't completely wrong, he's just mostly wrong. The songwriting and even musicianship on TVU&N is really good under all the shitty lo-fi production. Music journalists definitely overrate him, no way he should consistently be considered among the greatest of all time, but TVU's and Lou Reed's solo output is mostly really solid. And I guess swagger goes a long way, too.
