6 years back I was driving with my buddy 2hours to the city and he was like "hey bro remember Avril Lavigne? her song Girlfriend is really good actually" same guy I had several hardcore bands with. He proceeded to play the song every 30 minutes or so and eventually we were acting like it was peak 2000s art >HEY HEY YOU YOU
on a similar pop note every once in awhile I remember a pop song from this century and I'm kinda blown away by how perfect some of them can be, the last was Just Dance by Lady Gaga that song is like 10/10 dance pop

It was just around, played on the radio and TV constantly. In retrospect I would say it's just okay, but at the time I thought it was generic garbage. It's catchy, sure, but there's nothing special about it.
