I wrecked my back and my abdomen at work recently, & was in extreme pain for almost a month, the kind of gut pain that feels like you got shot in the stomach. Even from this small amount of time I can understand why he decided to kill himself, cuz if I had to live with this kind of chronic pain I'd do it too.

Same. I've been struggling with gastritis for years. I manage to crush it after a while and then it comes back.
Sometimes it felt like I really just needed a gun but I swear I didn't have one.
And today we actually have a lot more medicines to get this shit under control and we know a lot more. But if I had to live with this in the 90s, on top of the rockstar crap and a viper of a wife, yeah I'd definitely take that one-way trip back
