im not a black metal guy or anything but i just got done listening to both records and they both share some aesthetic similarities. they both share a similar melodic/accessible style of black metal and go back and forth between that and piano/instrumental interludes. the album art both share a "knight with sword in corpse paint" motif though draugveil's seems more on the ironic side where pale swordsman seems more sincere. musically i thought draugveil went harder but they're both pretty good honestly
