The OG punks kinda seemed like they were genuine outcasts and criminals. Like people with rough pasts and rough lives, who were just naturally fucking weird or gross or trashy and didn't fit in well before they deliberately started trying not to fit in. They were the 4chan of music, in a way that isn't a compliment. Now they are the Reddit of music.
