Wimpy as in "it's not fucking metal enough"? Yeah well no, who cares, just put decent pickups ain your strat and make some dirty as fuck rock 'n' roll.
The secret sauce in my strat is a 25kOhm (not 250kOhm) tone pot that reaaaally changes the sound like night and day. Ironically it was the last tone pot the shop had in stock and the only one that fit into the hole in the body. Bless these guys they were super fucking nice on top of that.

Does anyone own a hardshell case? The 'Gator GWE-ELEC' arrived today, never had one before, and I noticed it puts some pressure on the red circle when closed, it's very snug and it takes some pressing down in order to fully close the case. I see that it's designed to secure the guitar so it doesn't move, but I wonder if this can damage my 7 string. Perhaps I'm overthinking it and it's normal.

That's normal. I've got a few hardshell cases, and they all exert some level of pressure on the components such as the switch tips, knobs, and bridge. My LP with a Bigsby is probably the one that takes the most force, but it's really nothing to worry about. The top of the shell is plush and will deform hence why you can see impressions left in it.

And then you have to ask yourself, do I do horizontal chromatic scales aka warmup, then vertical chromatic scales aka spiders, then pentatonic scales, then 3 nps in all positions, then arpeggio starting on every scale degree, and then my practice is over without playing a single riff other than drills.

He was rewriting as he went because he failed to get 1984 rights , which was supposed to be the original album, and converted it into his new them known as diamond dogs. Well, a good session musician can play over anything you give him. You just write your part for the acoustic and if you ever get someone who can play another instrument they will pretty much just know what is needed for the song and where to put it.
Start riffing in front of a drummer and watch how fast he locks into your groove and will even change the groove if you can't hold it.

Every genre has a toolkit they draw from, once you learn the common licks in a genre you can see how everyone else built off those common licks to make something unique or literally they just use the common lick and call it a day.

>What's the necessary must learn of theory?
You need to do interval training to be able to recognize intervals so you can follow along by ear. You need to learn the major and minor scales so you know the diatonics of each key to keep up with changes, Learn the basics of the circle of 5ths (its a rabbit-hole). And then you need to practice the fuck out of it all so that it becomes natural to follow while you're playing.
There are musicians that play by ear and feel but they rarely have the ability to play intelligently with other musicians. Music theory is a language designed for collaboration.

If you're playing C pentatonic and learn that shape, you can move up a fret, and now it's C# pentatonic. Move it four up, and it's E pentatonic.
It's the same with riffs. Play Smells Like Teen Spirit a few frets up, and it's the same riff, just in a different key.
The patterns are all the same, you're just changing the root.
I assume that's what was meant.

Not perfect yet but considerably better than it was previously. I can flutter and be in tune just fine and I can dive bomb and the strings will be about a quarter to a third of a semitone off (way better than expected for a non locking floating vibrato, I never ever divebomb so that’s plenty good enough for me). Pulling up on the vibrato gets it all out of tune still but just about every single forum post about these vibratos everyone says they don’t work well going up in pitch, only down. Basically for just subtle vibrato use which is what I only ever use it for anyway on the guitars I’ve got that have a vibrato it’s fine and that’s great.

The pickups sound like total ass, but that's my opinion, I would change them. The only thing that would make an SBS better than a Jackson JS Series for instance is if they have stainless steel frets, which I'm not even sure about.

Conservative doesn't mean some specific GOP platform. Or religious per se. I doubt Nugent is that religious himself. He just doesn't want to be fucked around with and his guns taken. Mustaine was always libertarian even in his younger days. That's why they used to put him on MTV's "Rock the Vote" shit, since he provided an opposing voice to usual stuff. Him and Kennedy alike (who's now on Fox News as you know).

I never agreed or set any goalposts. I'm telling you a fact. He used to be on Rock the Vote as the libertarian voice. It happened. As in, in actual reality and has nothing to do with me 30 years later.
As for thinking conservatives are a specific sort of religious thing, that's sounds like a personal problem. I never even mentioned religion. You did. We were talking about David Lynch.

He's right bruv. Start defining things by what they are instead of what they aren't. You're entertaining the confusion that eventually serves your or other people's interests. It's dishonest at worst and stupid at best.
I cited conservative artists, I don't understand how you can argue that they aren't just because you yourself are probably a conservative who doesn't take full responsibility.

He may well be, but he directed one of the most "capitalist realism" pictures ever in Red Dawn, not to mention that his other two well known films are choke full of white supremacy and "how good things used to be before..".

I never said anyone wasn't conservative that was listed. If there's any confusion, it's your own fault. Not once did I disagree that Ted Nugent or Kid Rock weren't conservative either. If anything, they're more along the lines of earlier ones mentioned: Milius and Mustaine.
The only thing I told you is get off the little hangup about religion. That's not conservatism. And thinking Mustaine only became conservative because of religion is just dumb.
If anything, the "paragon" of conservative thinkers was Thomas Jefferson himself. And he was one of the least religiously inclined of his time. Why he is a Paragon is the same reason Alexander Hamilton is the Paragon of liberals. It's how they viewed the reach of government.

I need to clarify because I wasn't explicit enough in that Mustaine, since he became Born Again, sucks absolute ass. Can't be considered an artist anymore. But yeah when he was a stoner he did some okay shit for the most part.
Milius just doesn't count. He's not serious enough. He does conservative stuff but he's an anarchist (= believes in fairy tales).
>>126811128
Good point. That was my thought process. Mustaine stopped doing genuine good art the moment he became a legit conservative.
>>126811176
I never mentioned religion and I don't know who Thomas Jefferson or Alexander Hamilton are.
I'm just saying: stop moving the goalposts, start defining things by what they are instead of loosely defining them by what they aren't. You're entertaining a confusion.
I guess it's the typical American way of thinking. In Europe we call this "confusionism".

There's no "confusion" or even much a debate. Post above said Mustaine only became conservative when he became religious. Let me it be clear: This is fucking stupid. You should not be confused about this at all. It's absolutely dumb and not based in any fact. He was the "token" libertarian in the 90s for MTV. That's on record, well before anything religious.

Hey Alan,

The conservative guitarist for the coverband shit his pants at the bbq. Luckily I had the jag-stang you sold me in the car. I told the band, "Anything but country or metal and I'm your guy." We played a 40 minute set and everyone was getting drunk and dancing. I'll put few more items in the chart tonight, bud! I might have to pull the trigger on that line 6 so I can unlock all the tones quick for this rockin socialist coverband and our upcoming tour (defacing synagogues).
