I fuckin love PCO
Insanely underappreciated especially considering just about every single white person between the ages of 25 and 55 has heard 2 of their songs
The only band that ever really 'felt' the same to me was The Books

Thanks for reminding me that Penguin Cafe Orchestra exists. They, YMS, and Lemon Jelly I remember listening to a lot when I was younger. Time to get high and get back into them

Simon Jeffes was a genius. It is a shame what his son is doing to his legacy.

What's his son done that's so bad exactly?

Its like going from Aurelius to Commodus. Original band members get together to perform his son joins them. Shows do well. Son decides to make a new band using his fathers brand using his fathers unreleased material and trying to pass it off as his own. It's not bad, just narcissistic.

I don't even remember how I came across this band but I fucking love Penguin Cafe Orchestra. All of their albums are great.

For me, it was through a sharethread back when those were pretty constant. The cover art and the YouTube sample grabbed me in an instant.
