Yamaha owns Line 6 and has had way more success with their solid state modelers over the years than boss. Spark, to me, is a gimmick. The Katana is very highly regarded, but after spending a year with both the gen 2 and gen 3 I never really liked it that much. I do, however like line 6 and yamaha products, always have. I think they actually sound good. I think most of the Katana hype is either shilling or just people who are only interested in playing metal, because the clean and crunch tones from a Katana sound like shit.
