yea, the few interviews i’ve seen with the lead dude sounds like his mind is all over the place. supposedly he’s touring with Brian Jonestown Massacre these days and has his own studio, but i’m wondering how good his income is considering there’s not a lot of money for niche artists in norway. a bit of a fun fact is that his younger brother is the current lead singer for Kvelertak.

IMO their sound wasn't that original or anything, but the main guy was pretty good at ripping stuff off and making some pretty decent catchy tunes.
Recently I've noticed that there are dozens of these Japanese dream pop/jangle pop bands that all sound almost identical to this.

It's especially better when you compare it to other highly populated nations. There are 16 nations with 100 million or more people, look at the 10 nations above Japan (China, India, USA, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Brazil, Bangladesh, and Mexico) or the 5 immediately below it (Philippines, Ethiopia, DR Congo, Egypt, Vietnam) and tell me which one you would rather live in than Japan?
Most of those nations are objective shitholes and the ones that aren't are slop nations without soul that still are probably bigger shitholes than Japan.
Japan is a place with soul and is simply superior to all but the most selective places - and those places certainly don't have anywhere close to 120 million people
