The dropped marble doing its final bounces sounds right? I would have no idea how they made that, I want to say I've heard similar ideas before, but it would be either ambient or more probably IDM type stuff.

The female vocals are very neat there, probably my favorite aspect of the band, shes very talented and varied from her cleans to harshes. Personally I find the band does tend to drag on a bit in sections, a bit heavy on the repetitions even if they are doing some crescendo type thing. Obviously though this is basically the case for every metal band, and at least Digir are doing much more interesting things during their repetitions. Also I'm not a fan of cheap incoherent tricks like 10:37 of that same song where everything stops for seemingly no reason, FAS from DsO is full of moments like that, which are just bad imo.
Their style definitely seems to hinge around a single sort of rhythm/theme that they allow to sink below and then breach back into the forefront again every so often, its not quite "variations on a theme", but more like what a "riff" was supposed to be as a core basis of a song that is improvised over (although this is very clearly not improvised). Just like jazz, you can notice the repetitions of that core pretty easily, which helps a song feel cohesive, Branca and minimalism also do similar ideas.
That being said, its probably the only truly interesting thing I've listened to all year, the rest has just been good executions, but lacking ambition. Exterior Palnet or Felgrave are good bands, but they don't really have anything that made me stop and think about how interesting it was, just great executions that are above 99% of metal.

Might help you with the lack of pattern recognition, you'll see that the filenames follow a 4chan-esque pattern, except longer. Yes that. I could be totally off-base here but it sounds like they did some downsampling to make it extra "crunchy" in the high frequencies. Also known as bitcrushing.

I couldn't stand Venom or Mercyful Fate (particularly the vocals), but Bathory's first 3 albums were okay, though I'd still argue they're really closer to punk in how they sound, lo fi production, simple riffs, drumming that was off rhythm at times, and well, terrible vocals.. but better than the bong vocals of Venom or falsetto screeches of Mercyful Fate.
