I can't recall a single big college protest going on about Yemen, when was there one? The most I remember is a decade ago near the beginning of the civil war where it was lethargically brought up on a few shows like Question time.
The scale dwarfs Gaza and you're seeing a wall of silence about it. If you're a humanitarian who is very upset about civilians getting killed then you should be frustrated about this lack of awarenessm lack of outrage, lack of taking to the streets, lack of social media campaigning and so on. And Yemen isn't the only one either.
I get the impression your heart isn't really in the 'Yemen' thing in comparison though tbqh. Maybe I'm wrong and it bothers you equally.
>. for years there were very few who spoke about israel’s occupation, and then it hit a boiling point.
'Free Palestine' has been a staple of leftist protest for many years. It never got dropped from the banners unlike 'Free Tibet' (which as I said, vanished for mysterious reasons.)
What I do remember is on the day after Oct 7th there were Jihadists protesting in favor of Hamas in London, which is a disgrace, objectively does no favors for Palestinians, and is completely handwaved by the so called 'humanitarians' with drivel like 'calling for Jihad is an expression that means 'end the colonialist oppression of Muslim people' and other such bullshit.
