I hope she gets more creative control on the next LP album. Mike has always steered the ship but it'd be a better album if she was given some room to work. From Zero was pretty much just Post Traumatic with a woman singing on most of the tracks, it was fine but they better step their game up big next time.

I think so. Thousands of people are chanting her name between songs. If that's not a positive sign dunno what is.

From what I saw there were 3 groups of people:
1. A very small, but very vocal minority of never-Emilys, the people who consider Linkin Park can't exist without Chester. They flooded reddit and forums relentlessly at the start

2. A small, but not as vocal minority of always-LPers that would accept anything coming from Mike as gospel.

3. The vast majority (90%) that took a wait and see stance. I was in that group. At first I was ok let's see if she can sing, yes che can... ok can she scream? - yes che can... ok does she fit in with the band? - she does. She won that majority over in time. People saw she cared, she gave it all, etc. She can sing and perform new and old songs, etc. On top of that she's a qt and does silly and endearing stuff on and off stage. The vast majority of fans accepted her already. Haters are losing numbers by the day.

You have to understand Linkin Park lost like 50% of their fanbase with every album after Meteora. Even Meteora was a bit more controversial upon release than people remember; in 2001/2002 there was a belief that the band was going to be a much heavier group then they ended up being.

Nevertheless, all the bitching and crying about the new album being so much worse than what came before isn't a good metric, since "the fans" have said that about every single release for 95% of their career.

Frankfurt night 2 was fucking awesome. Emily was hot in the beige pants, changed her tshirt to a tighter one at the end, the band sounded great, what more can you want? Architects' vocalist came out on One Step Closer which was neat. They closed the show with Faint instead of Bleed It Out which is a first I think. I give it a 9/10.

Organisation was pretty good. Public transport was shit, but that's not their fault.
