Zeppelin I and II for heavy metal only have Dazed and Confused, Communication Breakdown, and Whole Lotta Love, and all three of them are very still majority hard rock in terms of structure, riffs, etc. IV has no metal at all in any song, the closest you get is Black Dog but that song's only real metallic trait is the crunchy guitar tone.
And Slipknot has some metal songs but to me their music just sounds like heavy alt rock with godawful rapping.

Death album rankings from fans are the least consistent of any band which I think says something good about them. There's no album that's always at the top or always at the bottom of everyone's personal list. They really nailed what each album was going for so each album is either hitting or filtering your preferences or somewhere in between.
For me it's Human > Leprosy > ITP > Spiritual Healing. I don't like the other 3, though they have good tracks, like Crystal Mountain on Symbolic

I've never liked music that's all about complexity so my favorite was always Scream Bloody Gore closely followed by Spiritual Healing and then turns out nobody here like SBG. It's okay tho, whatever floats your boat and doesn't sink mine.
