man i was gonna rank the Mac albums but never can. i love everything from '71-'87 so much. all i know is that Tusk is number 1 and Rumours honestly bores me sometimes (wish i was being contrarian)

Based. If it’s not Bob Welch-era ‘Mac I ain’t listenin’. That goes for all of music in general not just Fleetwood Mac.

I won’t do post-80’s ‘Mac because it gets pretty dire imo but here’s 68-87 albums ranked:
1. Rumours
2. Fleetwood Mac (75)
3. Mystery to Me
4. Tusk
5. Bare Trees
6. Future Games
7. Kiln House
8. Penguin
9. Tango in the Night
10. Then Play On
11. Heroes are Hard to Find
12. Mirage
13. Fleetwood Mac (68)
14. Mr. Wonderful

I really like 70s ‘Mac, what can I say? I l still love Tango and there’s a massive gap between Tango and Then Play On even if I have them ranked next to each other. Maybe as large as between Rumours and Tango.

okay you've inspired me to try.
basing these on how much enjoyment i get out of them.

1. Tusk
2. Bare Trees
3. Mystery to Me
4. Mirage
5. Tango in the Night
6. Heroes Are Hard to Find
7. Future Games
8. Rumours
9. Fleetwood Mac '75
10. Say You Will
11. Penguin

i rearranged this multiple times so nothing is set in stone. i encourage anons to try and convince me why i'm wrong.

I kinda see where you’re coming from ranking Penguin last. It was a mistake to hire Dave Walker and have him do a pair of shitty blues numbers that the rest of the band had evolved past years earlier. But it has some great McVie and Welch songs, including possibly my all-time favorite Fleetwood Mac song, Did You Ever Love Me?

yes Dave Walker was the worst part of the album.
>my all-time favorite Fleetwood Mac song, Did You Ever Love Me?
interesting choice for favourite. i think it's okay
i much prefer Remember Me and Dissatisfied. Bright Fire is good too.

Bob Welch-era Fleetwood Mac doesn’t. Now, the Lindsey Cuckingham and Stevie Nigger-era Mac? Sure

Kirwan I won’t go after because he stayed with the band and contributed to some of their underrated early-70s albums. When Green was leading the band they were generic British blues rock band # 452084C.
