Calling jazz nuts

Looking for jazz that doesn’t grate. Find a lot of it samey , albums like these are nicely composed/musical. Where to go from here?

neither are real jazz, nor mingus at his best. i recommend jazz guitar albums or jazz fusion, start with that one japanese album that gets rec'd to everyone on youtube

You’re right although at least it’s actually listenable. The real stuff gives me a headache, constant trumpets and drums who can listen to that on a day to day basis. Not a pseud , just want a comfy listen

With those parameters you should be calling for jazz tourists, not jazz nuts. Anyway picrel is what you're looking for, you clearly get filtered by anything improvised so stick to albums that are composed, preferably through-composed.
