A far more obvious answer is something like Bestial Warlust who are probably one of the most intense war metal acts there is, while living in the same country as Portal. Maybe he noticed the rising notes of the title track at 1:23 and wanted to base his playing around that. More likely than Morbid Angel of all things and fucking Beherit, thats for sure.
