First and Last & Floodland are great. Vision Thing sucks ass and I've never been able to take Andrew seriously after his hair fell out. Hopefully they never release anything else and completely fuck up their legacy.

The real redpill is realising VT is actually his greatest work. You just didn't get the joke yet.

one of the most misunderstood bands of its era.
peaked with damage done followed by other early singles and eps.
very mixed feelings about everything else. still probably top 5 of my fav groups but its tough love

>>127025215

flaa is meh, comes off as whiny emo shit with victim mentality. its ok i guess but its hardly a peak. doesnt suceed in what it really wanted to be, a dark r&b record. too much banshees not enough hot chocolate (as far as i can tell andrew wanted it to be like like everyone's a winner, you sexy thing, emma etc. but infused with heavier guitar focus in style of 60s psychedelia).

floodland is too smug and sarcastic. half of it is taken up by joke songs. the serious tracks like driven like the snow (lyrical peak) or dominion hit the mark flaa was aiming for. the midi piano and crooning on 1959 is probably worst thing i ever heard

>>127025325
ironic lowbrow buttrock made to piss off g**** is still shitty buttrock even if lyrics are good.

The final segment of that track is the best thing he ever did. So good he hasn't released anything since.

The best one is Sisterhood - Gift which was only concocted as a revenge tactic on the other members who had just left him.

>one of the most misunderstood bands of its era.
mostly goth rock. eldritch dresses the part whats hard to understand?
>peaked with damage done followed by other early singles and eps.
all that is great but the entire floodland and debut album are too. vision thing isnt bad its just slightly different
>flaa is meh, comes off as whiny emo shit with victim mentality.
how is black planet or nine while nine or a rock & a hard place whiny or emo?
>its ok i guess but its hardly a peak. doesnt suceed in what it really wanted to be, a dark r&b record.
a dark r & b record? lol just because of a cover or two
>infused with heavier guitar focus in style of 60s psychedelia
that was because of wayne hussey. eldritch and him didnt see eye to eye musically or lyrically. eldritch thought his lyrics were terrible thats why he was kicked out of the sisters
>floodland is too smug and sarcastic. half of it is taken up by joke songs.
joke songs? lol no
>the serious tracks like driven like the snow (lyrical peak) or dominion hit the mark flaa was aiming for.
because eldritch wrote them himself right after dumping wayne hussey. see also the gift by the sisterhood
>under the gun being the final middle finger
except it wasnt the screw shareholder value album was though

The fact that this faggot has been able to coast on nothing but 2.5~ records and hasn't done fuck else in 35 years, is pretty impressive. He hates the goth label yet the fact that he's literally a fucking meme in the goth scene is the only reason anyone even remembers him.

It's really not. I get what they're trying to do and it's just boring buttrock. Doctor Jeep is one of the stupidest fucking songs ever.

are you going to ignore that flaa seriously just pretty much sounds like a dark paisley underground record with heavy rnb and disco influence?

most songs on flaa are lyricaly whatever. black planet and nine while nine are exceptions

floorshow is a hip hop song btw, but you are not ready for it

and yes half of floodland is just smug ironic jabs at old bandmates. lucretia and this corrosion take up half of the album pretty much.
and yes the covers do mean a lot, they didnt cover velvet underground or suicide or the stooges or stones just for shits n giggles. they wore their influeces on their sleeves.

Not complaining though. Bowie dropped the ball. He could have ruled the 80s if he just kept doing that. There was a need for more of it and Sisters (among others) filled it.

>and yes the covers do mean a lot
>they wore their influences on their sleeves.
they covered dolly parton bro. just because they cover random songs doesnt mean anything more then they didnt have enough original material of their own. again it was wayne hussey pushing the 60s psychedelic sound on the band once he was gone and eldritch took full control of the band and songwriting, they never sounded like that again. dont know why you keep saying the sisters made disco or r&b influenced music. just because it has a good beat?

I find this very very hard to believe. Every time I look up some live clip on youtube from recent years Eldritch's voice is just completely gone, like he either can't or isn't trying to sing anymore, sometimes he has the guitar player singing lead vocals for entire songs. The rest of the band has sounded fine in terms of their instrumentals though.

It's obvious he did. No other guy spawned as many after him, except Dylan and Elvis and the Beatles. You're the only other retards around that try to pretend you live in some other reality when none of these artists matter or call them all hacks or boybands. It's that sperg tick when you all try so hard to be different and contrarian.
It didn't have to be just crooning. He also spawned Duran Duran and the Fixx and Siouxsie, none of which are really like the Sisters. That's just Bowie touching a bit on everything.
