I have one of those, also a pro studio from 2014 which is literally just a standard with no weight relief and bindings. The red one has a borken neck and the other one is a piece of garbage when it comes to playability. These guitars are not meant to be played, they are forniture.

TFW you realize you have a 26 gallon air compressor and have been wasting money on computer duster to keep your instruments and gear dust free. This is my smoke free rack, the other one holds the guitars that have been seasoned and lightly cleaned once moving out of very smoky environments. Iโ€™ve gotten increasingly anal about dust and itโ€™s kinda funny to have a handful of truly grisled and grody guitars that I just canโ€™t part with.

'noise' gates are fucking hacks. they're for getting harsher chugs and overcoming inclement conditions in venues as a last resort.

the sympathetic ringing of unmuted strings is quite literally the #1 problem with pretty much any guitarist that doesn't sound good and half of the ones that do. even if you did have a noise gate so what you wanker the sympathetic ringing makes the note you intended to play sound like shit. thats why it doesn't sound as good when you play it but someone else can take the same guitar and it sounds tight, rich, full.

muting should be like, the first fucking thing anyone learns. lesson 1 of 1000, play this scale while muting all the other strings.

My fender style and lp kits are solid players. The semi hollow kit might be beyond reproach. The hollow probably needs a full refinish, bridge and nut adjustments, full fret leveling and filing, route access to the electronics from the back so they can be reworked without losing my mind. All and all it's shit considering that kit is more expensive and there are tons of sellers putting out $200-250 guitars right now. That was my first kit and my skills were more rugged, but everything about it is worse than it should be.

drummers have to learn it with 4 limbs.
you learn to kinda put a limb on autopilot so the rest can do off-beat hits. It just takes time.
If you can practice your guitar parts enough that you don't have to think about them as much you can focus on the singing.

Think about acoustic cover fags, every song ends up being the same strumming pattern so they don't have to think about it and they can just change chords and sing

Iโ€™m curious about this too. Les Paul was a real tinkerer and did all kinds of cool things with his guitars, I canโ€™t blame him for being unhappy with a signature model when heโ€™s constantly modding his stuff, heโ€™d get ideas for new sounds and wind his own pickups to get it.
On the other hand I think itโ€™s cool when guys use basic off the shelf production models of their signature guitars. Yngwie uses basic versions of his signature Strats and Troy Van Leeuwen uses basic production versions of his (Mexican made) Jazzmasters. I think itโ€™s cool when someone gets a signature model and then uses it, not the special custom shop version of it or the original model it was based off of but used the common production model that the average joe would buy if they were wanting one.

You can remove it with oxalic acid cleaner, baking soda as well but I donโ€™t think that works as well.

it'd just rust again since the chrome plating is already shot, you'd need acrylic spray or something to coat it

A Mustang with P90s would be cool but my Fano is basically already that. A P90 Mustang with the same switching as a regular Mustang with out of phase would be cool. Iโ€™d want to put together a humbucker Mustang if I didnโ€™t already have my Super Sonic. Iโ€™m thinking about hardtailing my Japanese one so I can have one with a stable vibrato and one just simple

Not that the price of fragrances matters too much, but the Iommi perfume is almost 3 times more expensive than the one you posted lulz. For me i'm not a big perfume head, I just bought it to support Tony Iommi and his cancer battle.

Why not make the hard tail MIJ your humbucker with hotrail/JB Jr? Iโ€™ve played a few HH Mustangs with various stock and aftermarket full sized humbuckers and itโ€™s too muddy sounding. If youโ€™re looking to play anything remotely clean the hotrail seems to be the perfect happy medium.

they could make it even better by getting rid of the normal channel (which no one ever uses anyway) and in its place adding a midrange control to the EQ and a switch to take the amp down to 5 watts or 1 watt

Yeah, I was expecting them to be anemic on my MG73 and was prepared to swap at least the bridge for a hotrail but I like the combined sound too much to replace it.

No, just set it up and upgrade it where needed. Manicure the frets, make sure the action and nut are good and youโ€™ll have a decent, playable guitar. The Sonic series blows away the Affinity guitars I played as a kid back in the day.

A Tribute would be nice. Something about its rustic looks, though idk if a maple neck works for a gibson.
