I have one of those, also a pro studio from 2014 which is literally just a standard with no weight relief and bindings. The red one has a borken neck and the other one is a piece of garbage when it comes to playability. These guitars are not meant to be played, they are forniture.

I have an ebony classic with white binding and i will literally not play anything else.
How do you play this chord without using your thumb to mute the top two strings?
TFW you realize you have a 26 gallon air compressor and have been wasting money on computer duster to keep your instruments and gear dust free. This is my smoke free rack, the other one holds the guitars that have been seasoned and lightly cleaned once moving out of very smoky environments. Iโve gotten increasingly anal about dust and itโs kinda funny to have a handful of truly grisled and grody guitars that I just canโt part with.

'noise' gates are fucking hacks. they're for getting harsher chugs and overcoming inclement conditions in venues as a last resort.
the sympathetic ringing of unmuted strings is quite literally the #1 problem with pretty much any guitarist that doesn't sound good and half of the ones that do. even if you did have a noise gate so what you wanker the sympathetic ringing makes the note you intended to play sound like shit. thats why it doesn't sound as good when you play it but someone else can take the same guitar and it sounds tight, rich, full.
muting should be like, the first fucking thing anyone learns. lesson 1 of 1000, play this scale while muting all the other strings.

My fender style and lp kits are solid players. The semi hollow kit might be beyond reproach. The hollow probably needs a full refinish, bridge and nut adjustments, full fret leveling and filing, route access to the electronics from the back so they can be reworked without losing my mind. All and all it's shit considering that kit is more expensive and there are tons of sellers putting out $200-250 guitars right now. That was my first kit and my skills were more rugged, but everything about it is worse than it should be.

The American Originals were a brief run of Fender ditching the American Vintage line with specific years and doing just "50s" and "60s" American models. Kind of like Gibson does. But they gave them a 9.5 radius. Everything else was kind of like the AV models. I have a 60s Strat. It's awesome.

I love Mustangs. Iโve never clicked with a guitar as firmly as Iโve clicked with a Mustang other than when I got my first Strat 20 years ago, but Mustangs do everything Iโve ever wanted my Strats to do while also being lighter. Theyโre not aa โsweetโ sounding as a Strat and are definitely thinner setting, but thatโs nothing tweaking amp settings or pedals canโt fix. I love them

Itโs nice being able to put it in or take it out without tools or be able able to loosen it on the fly and rotate it out of the way and re tighten it when youโre not wanting to use it at the moment

It gets to a point here it becomes one thing. Try playing scales and doubling the notes with your voice. Singing while playing rhythm is hard at first. Try playing along to a recording while looking at the chord chart and singing along while playing the guitar.

drummers have to learn it with 4 limbs.
you learn to kinda put a limb on autopilot so the rest can do off-beat hits. It just takes time.
If you can practice your guitar parts enough that you don't have to think about them as much you can focus on the singing.
Think about acoustic cover fags, every song ends up being the same strumming pattern so they don't have to think about it and they can just change chords and sing

Iโm curious about this too. Les Paul was a real tinkerer and did all kinds of cool things with his guitars, I canโt blame him for being unhappy with a signature model when heโs constantly modding his stuff, heโd get ideas for new sounds and wind his own pickups to get it.
On the other hand I think itโs cool when guys use basic off the shelf production models of their signature guitars. Yngwie uses basic versions of his signature Strats and Troy Van Leeuwen uses basic production versions of his (Mexican made) Jazzmasters. I think itโs cool when someone gets a signature model and then uses it, not the special custom shop version of it or the original model it was based off of but used the common production model that the average joe would buy if they were wanting one.

I think Elvis and Scotty Moore honed in on those vocal and rockabilly guitar styles because of that echo effect....which Les Paul apparently invented. He gets credit for the guitar, but he should get more credit for his production and engineering too. That all led to rock too.

And the villain could be a Rhett Shull type.
