"Important" "socially conscious" artists always become insufferable with enough exposure. I reached that point with Kendrick pretty soon after TPAB. There's just too much music to hold one artist on such a high pedestal, and when an artist like Kendrick gets enough praise and seriously starts to think he's the messiah of black america or whatever it's just gross.
