How good can you get on a shitty thirdie guitar? I have an acoustic that cost maybe like $50 like 14 years ago. Horrible sound, horrible action, among other things so I never practiced

like Im sure you can tell the difference between a cheap and expensive acoustic guitar, because youre white and being white you can feel the quality. kind of funny how /gg/ shits non stop on people who want tone woods but somehow they know the difference between a $300 and a $1000 just by looking at it

after you get done pretending you know wtf youre talking about, go to a guitar shop and try a cheap guitar before you buy to make sure it doesnt have buzzing frets

Downstrum on the tick of the metronome and upstrum in time between the ticks. Practice that, simple down up down up in time with a metronome. Then practice removing one of the down strokes and rest on a beat (1&2&_&4&/DUDU_UDU) or some other variations of that and just do stuff like that over and over. It isn’t difficult, I think you’re just overthinking it because you’re not used to it. You’ve got a metronome, just practice and remember down on the beat and up on the and.

The worst part of interacting with China in any way means they'll eventually steal your IP and then go right to flooding your own market with copies of the shit you contracted them for.
It's worse for even smaller businesses who might stumble on a cool idea, but don't have manufacturing capabilities...so they go to China for it. Only to eventually get destroyed out of the very market they created.

P90 mustang showed up today, almost forgot I ordered it. Feels good but the P90s don’t sound quite as good as the ones in my Noventa JM. The setup and neck feel great though, needed minor intonation tweaking but merely a cunt hair’s worth. We‘ll see, I’ll try it through a few different amps and through my recording setup before I consider upgrading the pickups. It could just be that my JM gives of better sound to the pickups. This is a 2020 Player 90 Stang and the the Noventa JM is 2021 so I would think it would be the same P90s in both, they’re both MIMs. I got this for a steal so I don’t mind investing in some better P90s eventually, still I’ll give it and myself a little while to settle and adapt. Satin neck with glossy maple fretboard is the best… my Strat and this have that combo and it’s lessened my appreciation and tolerance for rosewood.

If you want to upgrade the pickups I love Fralin’s P90s. Between a friend and I we have Fralin, Lollar, three different Gibsons, Yamaha, and whatever P90 is in a Chinese made Rivolta and of them all we both agree the Fralin just kills it. Lollar is a very close second, I’d be happy with either of those; hell even Gibson’s current P90s sound great but of them all Fralin’s P90s are just phenomenal sounding plus he makes a noiseless set which is kind of tempting

It seemed kinda plain at first but it’s grown on me. I have an older Bullet Stang in the bluer version of this color that I always wished was this shade, now it’s nice to have it and on a significantly nicer version as well. I thought about putting a lone tasteful sticker on this but now I’m thinking no. It does have some belt rash from the previous owner, maybe I’ll cover that if I find a fitting sticker.

It really sucks cause now I dont have anything to do with my friends. I could get on discord and game but I'm ALWAYS thinking about practicing and how much better I wanna be at music. Guitar Center Incidents:

Mountain treats every Guitar Center visit like a pilgrimage. But due to his cursed gut, disaster always strikes:

He shows up mid-afternoon, having eaten a Whopper combo (with onion rings and mozzarella sticks) an hour prior.

Strolls in whistling “Jessica” by The Allman Brothers.

Heads straight to the guitar wall, picks up a $2,000 Les Paul Custom, straps it on over his crusty tank top…

Then it hits.

“Oh golly… that’s a Code Tango Alpha…”

“We’re gonna have a lil’ oopsy-daisy here in a minute, buckaroo…”

He attempts to shuffle off to the bathroom with urgency, but mid-waddle, he fumbles. A wet, bubbling sound betrays him.

A liquid squirt escapes—projectile in nature—and arcs onto a PRS Silver Sky and the neck of a Telecaster Deluxe.

His reaction?

He freezes, then says solemnly,

“Sweet baby Ray’s barbecue... I’ve had another breach.”

He grabs a floor display flyer and fans the air, apologizing profusely to the staff.

“I swear on Loretta Lynn's guitar case this don’t happen every time, pal. My sincerest!”

Staff knows him well. They’ve started putting plastic tarps over the high-end guitars when he walks in.
They’ve nicknamed the event “The Great Splatter Solo.”

Earts are awesome, not just for the price but in general. They're good guitars. Stubborn fags don't want to admit that China is actually making good guitars, but I haven't played a single Eart that wasn't better than any guitar you can get in a store for $1k. Their roasted necks are usually super roasted too which is sick. Who cares if they don't "hold their value", they're a few hundred bucks, do these poor retards really see that as an investment?

My dinky beloved epi needs a re-nut/refret and setup which is gonna be 300$ in itself, I'm just going to use the GW as my practice.
I REALLY want their strat since it doesn't suck apparently, I hope tariffs don't hit them too soon because it's going to be awhile before I buy one.

I do sound for a local band and they have the quintessential 2 types of guitarist

1st guy
>shitty Cort electric
>old strings
>budget 1x12 combo
>off-brand pedals on a plywood board
>plays everything clean and nails his solos

2nd guy
>mesa triple rectifier
>matching 4x12 cab
>extra 2x2 extension cab
>turns up to double the volume of the rest of the band "for the tone"
>almost a new guitar for every song
>custom PRS, vintage Gibsons and custom ordered Fenders
>flubs notes and misses entry points for solos
>often starts soloing one fret away from where he should be
>hunches and stares at the fretboard when it's time to play hard things

Only when looking at it very simply. What about the flexibility compared to the wood? Not to mention if the glue is not applied properly the bond will not be mechanically sound. I want to attempt making a mold of a firebird from styrofoam and filling it with wood glue. Once hardened I will sand and polish the form. I will then chisel a design of flowers and vines into the entire surface of the guitar, and hand paint them with acrylic markers of light blue, dark green, and red. After that, I will coat the entire surface with epoxy multiple times, letting it dry before applying another layer. And on each dry surface I will make additional sparse details to the surface with white paint. The final dried layer of epoxy will polished as much as possible. And with a small carving kit I will chisel out a fake wood grain on the body. I will lightly sand the whole surface with medium grit and than do the final polishing. Getting the whole outermost surfaces as smooth as possible. A delicate scuff sand is applied. A nitrocellulose finish is sprayed in multiple layers. After drilling and installing hardware and electronics, I put in the frets last. I scallop the fretboard and polish the fretboard until smooth as glass.
