>>127062605Rhythm is especially the kind of thing your listening habits will change in your playing. Not to say that people who listen to a lot of music are good musicians. But you're both a good listener and musician, then your vocabulary expands all the more.
>>127062624I don't know about electrics, but all classical guitars are wider (and flat).
>>127062605A classical musician having no sense of feel. What a surprise. Try being less formulaic in your approach. Not everything needs to be done so precisely. Just play on time

>>127062687No doubt his fundamentals are probably great but he lacks instinct at the moment. This is why jazz musicians mog classical ones..
>>127062694Downstrum on the tick of the metronome and upstrum in time between the ticks. Practice that, simple down up down up in time with a metronome. Then practice removing one of the down strokes and rest on a beat (1&2&_&4&/DUDU_UDU) or some other variations of that and just do stuff like that over and over. It isn’t difficult, I think you’re just overthinking it because you’re not used to it. You’ve got a metronome, just practice and remember down on the beat and up on the and.
>>127062625There should be a law putting upfront where guitars were made

>>127062767The info is public and it's your fault for not looking it up
>>127062778I'll take made in china and assembled in Korea over India any day.
>>127062787NTA, but it's a little iffy with some brands. Like almost all of those Cordoba classical guitars sure as hell aren't from Cordoba, Spain. They're from China. And their high end ones are made by random Spanish luthiers contracted for the work.
>>127062807When I say iffy, I don't think they have their guitars labeled as China. They say some flaky Apple shit like "Designed in California". Nor is it always on GC or Sweetwater's site and whatnot.
The real crime is Fender charges an arm and leg for their Tonemaster stuff, but those are from China too. You could pay a similar price for a US made Fender tube amp instead. They don't have nor care to have the facilities to make US made modeling amps.
>>127062787It's a massive characteristic, as important as listing their construction materials and stuff.
The seller should be obliged to tell you in the same page they listed the product. No googling for more info bullshit.
>>127062834Legislation is hard to word and enforce. What ends up happening is you get shit like Germany where Turks do final assembly on chinesium, adding another failure point to the same bullshit.
>>127062875The worst part of interacting with China in any way means they'll eventually steal your IP and then go right to flooding your own market with copies of the shit you contracted them for.
It's worse for even smaller businesses who might stumble on a cool idea, but don't have manufacturing capabilities...so they go to China for it. Only to eventually get destroyed out of the very market they created.
>>127062889I think this happened with some German tool makers btw. Smaller guys like that.
Chinese are worse than Indians and gypsies. They're all scammer cultures. And they can't help it. Nor do they care to help it. But they're actually worse than gypsies since gypsies don't eat cats and dogs afaik.
>>127062889>they'll eventually steal your IP and then go right to flooding your own market with copies of the shit you contracted them forYou mean like how every guitar company in the world already did with fender guitars, a bit late for that
These are fucking planks of wood glued together lol there's no fucking secret to them, who gives a fuck

P90 mustang showed up today, almost forgot I ordered it. Feels good but the P90s don’t sound quite as good as the ones in my Noventa JM. The setup and neck feel great though, needed minor intonation tweaking but merely a cunt hair’s worth. We‘ll see, I’ll try it through a few different amps and through my recording setup before I consider upgrading the pickups. It could just be that my JM gives of better sound to the pickups. This is a 2020 Player 90 Stang and the the Noventa JM is 2021 so I would think it would be the same P90s in both, they’re both MIMs. I got this for a steal so I don’t mind investing in some better P90s eventually, still I’ll give it and myself a little while to settle and adapt. Satin neck with glossy maple fretboard is the best… my Strat and this have that combo and it’s lessened my appreciation and tolerance for rosewood.

Can someone convince me not to get an eart strat knockoff or one of their GWs?
A guy in the last thread mentioned them and the reviews all seem to be good, and they seem to be the only cheapo chinese brand that doesn't skimp on electronics and the pickups actually come at normal levels like you'd expect on an original model.

Guitar Center Incidents:
Mountain treats every Guitar Center visit like a pilgrimage. But due to his cursed gut, disaster always strikes:
He shows up mid-afternoon, having eaten a Whopper combo (with onion rings and mozzarella sticks) an hour prior.
Strolls in whistling “Jessica” by The Allman Brothers.
Heads straight to the guitar wall, picks up a $2,000 Les Paul Custom, straps it on over his crusty tank top…
Then it hits.
“Oh golly… that’s a Code Tango Alpha…”
“We’re gonna have a lil’ oopsy-daisy here in a minute, buckaroo…”
He attempts to shuffle off to the bathroom with urgency, but mid-waddle, he fumbles. A wet, bubbling sound betrays him.
A liquid squirt escapes—projectile in nature—and arcs onto a PRS Silver Sky and the neck of a Telecaster Deluxe.
His reaction?
He freezes, then says solemnly,
“Sweet baby Ray’s barbecue... I’ve had another breach.”
He grabs a floor display flyer and fans the air, apologizing profusely to the staff.
“I swear on Loretta Lynn's guitar case this don’t happen every time, pal. My sincerest!”
Staff knows him well. They’ve started putting plastic tarps over the high-end guitars when he walks in.
They’ve nicknamed the event “The Great Splatter Solo.”
Seafoam green looks great but hardly green at all. Other than that is looks pretty good.

Stubborn fags don't want to admit that China is actually making good guitars, but I haven't played a single Eart that wasn't better than any guitar you can get in a store for $1k. Their roasted necks are usually super roasted too which is sick. Who cares if they don't "hold their value", they're a few hundred bucks, do these poor retards really see that as an investment?

The PRC still buzzes. Its intonation is also not quite right. I've demoted it to the status of guinea pig and will now perform inept but well meaning experiments upon it like a reverse version of the guy in human centipede 2. Worst case scenario, I learn how to refret a guitar neck.

>>127069277Only when looking at it very simply. What about the flexibility compared to the wood? Not to mention if the glue is not applied properly the bond will not be mechanically sound. I want to attempt making a mold of a firebird from styrofoam and filling it with wood glue. Once hardened I will sand and polish the form. I will then chisel a design of flowers and vines into the entire surface of the guitar, and hand paint them with acrylic markers of light blue, dark green, and red. After that, I will coat the entire surface with epoxy multiple times, letting it dry before applying another layer. And on each dry surface I will make additional sparse details to the surface with white paint. The final dried layer of epoxy will polished as much as possible. And with a small carving kit I will chisel out a fake wood grain on the body. I will lightly sand the whole surface with medium grit and than do the final polishing. Getting the whole outermost surfaces as smooth as possible. A delicate scuff sand is applied. A nitrocellulose finish is sprayed in multiple layers. After drilling and installing hardware and electronics, I put in the frets last. I scallop the fretboard and polish the fretboard until smooth as glass.
