The internet is a double-edged sword, and while success in life is possible despite it, just as many of us would have had better lives had we limited our time on places like this, and the greater online world.
You have to at least try a few times before you can conclude inescapable failure. One of the worst things to afflict teens and young adults is this poorly rationalized sense of fatalism. And then you end up squandering the most vital periods of your life for change. This reinforces itself and before you know it, you've wasted your entire life.
