Yup, no one makes music like them.

Actually the people who did the music for the educational documentaries they drew their name from made similar music.

maybe I just overdosed BoC a couple of years ago, but last week during a long ride between cities I put their albums on shuffle again and all the tracks that used to grab me totally just sounded thin and smalltime
and it was on a serene July afternoon, one of those sceneries that are made for listening to Boards
I'm not happy about that

I love Boards of Canada so much. I wish I was Boards of Canada

I have similar with Campfire these days. Was my first BOC album and my favourite for a long time, but feels kinda dull now like everyone else used to tell me it was.

Tomorrow's Harvest, on the other hand, sounds great now, in contrast to being a bit of a disappointment on release. Its sullen bleakness really fits the mood of the world these days.

man I so wish TH was the album I imagine when I think about the grim and sad and heavy album by BoC
but then I come back to it once in a while and it always sounds unfinished and undercooked by at least 40%

TH was the only BOC album that I liked on the first listen, but now it's my least favorite, lol
TCH is very powerful when you do the things that this album romanticizes. Even just walking through the woods on a summer day you can feel it.

Why did the repeat the album cover style on the third album.

Look closely

This is nice by them. Not an album, a collection of songs, but it plays kind of like one.
