It’s occurred to me and many people that not only has the overall quality of music gone down the toilet in the past 30 years but also the beauty of music has likewise faded. Music is no longer beautiful. It has no symmetry anymore but distortion, chaos and confusion. We no longer see entire orchestras performing majestic and breathtaking compositions together, but music producers pushing buttons on samplers and calling it “music.” Ugly genres like rap/hip hop, electronic and EDM have replaced classical music and even compelling pop music. When was the last time a song you heard in public brought you to tears it was so beautiful?

So how do we make mainstream music beautiful again sonthat it glorifies both God and mankind? Where do we start?

I must have missed orchestras stopping performing altogether. Are you retarded or something? Go buy a ticket for a classical concert. They still do this stuff, last time I checked. All the best pieces have been recorded in the best possible way already, though, so that might be a bit of a waste.
