Freebird, Simple Man and Tuesday's Gone are the only really great songs Everything else ranges from decent to eh. Probably the best Skynyrd album though

lynyrd skynyrd and ac/dc immensely suffered from boomer radio stations spinning the same old poor quality songs of their to death across the world's airwaves, making them come across as limp and shallow pieces of rock. imagine my shock when i listened to powerage in my adult years and realized that ac/dc rocked as hard and had as much songwriting talent as my favorite punkier/grimier groups from those days.

there is zero (0) reason to have more than 5 people in a band

Lynyrd Skynyrd is not the band to prove your point. They lost like 4 members in a plane crash and were able to keep going for another 50 years because they had more than 5 people in the band, dummy.

A lot of great Southern/Jam bands have more than 5 members. Allman Brothers comes to mind.
