Chopin is great, very influential, but I prefer Scriabin. He did what Chopin did, improved it, and then did so much more. He's the absolute piano GOAT.

The more I listen to piano music, the more I think Scarlatti is a genius. The cumulative weight of the strangeness, freedom, and unclassifiable individuality found in his 555 keyboard sonatas is too great to ignore.
