So what do we think about Torture's "Enduring Freedom"? The guy is actually an autist, it's his superpower, knowing this adds charm to the music or makes it even more ridiculous. But what's the consensus?
Personally: 9/10, very solid but not perfect. I was sceptical with the intro but when the vocals came on it instantly sealed the deal. One of the best slam albums ever.

The difference between skramz/screamo bands like page99 and orchid and black metal/dsbm is purely the drumming pattern, the vocals and guitar and bass are literally the same.
And there's nothing wrong with that just because bands in different genres may sound almost identical doesn't mean they're the same genre.
The history, influences, aesthetics matter a lot even if they sound extremely similar, and for that reason I don't think extreme punk belongs ITT even if it sounds like metal.

thing is I just don't get what is "punk" about Metalcore and Deathcore.
like back during Grindcore and Goregrind it was kind of apparent that the songs being like 2 minutes long and played sloppy that this was coming out of punk rather than metal.

I can't really say the same for Metalcore and Deathcore, Metalcore is way too overproduced to be "Punk" in any semblance

i tried making some metal using only samples, vsts, and several bomb/hyper blastbeats.
there's also no bass guitar because i don't know any bass guitar vsts that would be suitable for this, and the 8 string guitar vst i used was already pretty heavy.
