lets say youre playing in the key of B minor, then you just play the 7 notes of the B minor scale. to avoid any clashing notes you play the pentatonic scale, these notes are always safe notes, so you would play the 5 notes of the pentatonic minor

If youre playing a solo over chords, the notes of the chord will stand out over the rest of the notes of the scale, so you emphasize the chord notes when playing over that chord

Appetite for Destruction will be the next album I learn in full. It is one of the best albums ever recorded, not a single skippable track on it. Axl may be a cunt but his voice was killer. Slash may be overrated but his solos were exemplary. It's a top tier record through and through and I will be playing through it in full in the next few months.

Also should I go 11-48 for my LP in E flat? My thrash roots tell me to go thicker, like 50 or 52 even but I wonder if that would be an overkill for the type of music LPs in E flat were usually played in.

Tried to set it up myself, and everything has went fine until setting the saddles. I cannot get the low g string to intonate. My only guess is either the strings bad or I need to file the nut. I'm so tired. Getting the other strings right took forever. I'm starting to think this guitar is cursed. I couldn't find my feeler gauge, and I went to harbor freight and they had none. The Jazzmasters range is just exquisite. It can take you around 90% of the telecaster range, across Strat territory (that isn't in-betweens land), and into it's own realm before you ever hit the rhythm circuit. Add a series switch or push-pull, and where can't this thing go?

I got a rando MiJ LP clone but it feels almost twice as heavy and bulky as the epi so I default back to the epi.
