I'm not sure if that model was made as is, or if somebody did any custom work on it.

They were a limited edition.
I was lucky and got mine on close out for about $700.00 (U.S.) at the time. They also made an SG version, but the SG versions I saw didn't have P-90 pick ups, so I never bought one. I have plenty of other SGs anyway.
I should also mention that this is a 'Weight relief" guitar, meaning that the body has been somewhat hollowed out, so it's lighter than an average Les Paul model guitar.
As I said, they were a limited edition, so they won't be easy to find, and chances are, you'll only find them used, and not new.
But good luck in finding one for under a grand, anyway.

the studio fadeds basically just kept value with inflation so you can snag one for $800-900 or less if they are a bit dinged up.
i think i finally saw the Mesa Boogie Tetragrammaton of Gain Staging and now have a liquid mk1 rhythm/lead distortion (treble knob does everything) in channel 1, and a sparkly pushed tweed on channel 2 that cleans up with volume knob. the thing is the master volume actually works, which surprised me. and, taking two speakers out of the 4x12 makes it sound amazing.

>>127148280At least it has Duncan’s instead of Ibanez dog ass pickups. Sort of went wrong with the gotoh bridge though, locking trems stay in tune much better and don’t snag on the nut.
>>127148403gotoh makes locking bridges and made the edges for ibanez for over a decade
>>127148403The other thing I forgot to mention is that if you want to downtune or run heavy gauge strings a regular nut is going to suck. A Floyd or Ibanez locking trem can accept most heavy string gauges without modifications and like I said they actually stay in tune. You’re going to have to be ultra light handed with your trem bar and probably tune up after every song or two.

>>127148449I mean that’s fine you probably aren’t divebombing anyway if you come from an sss Strat. But it won’t have the tuning stability of a locking nut or the versatility of string gauges it can accept.
>>127148324Neat concept, but unless you got that finish as your own, personal custom job, no one is going to use one of these because they'll be to afraid someone else will show up with one. Like women showing up to a party with the same outfit. Too embarrassing.
>>127148474He doesn't have a lot of string guage versatility with it being a 7-str regardless, but in general stop tails are much easier to migrate string guages on than a floating trem.

>learn intervals not shapes
ok, what are good resources to learn and practice intervals?
>>127149074your fretboard. get used to singing while playing
>>127149074The very basics of Intervals can be learned from a 15 minute youtube video, but I'm not sure what the other poster is talking about as you won't understand how intervals are derived if you don't know the major scale.
Most of the work on this subject is memorization, the conceptual part is really simple.
>>127149133major and minor* sorry. I always do that.
>>127149074If you know the chords, you know intervals. You know a major barre chord? Then you know a interval, which is the first two strings of the barre. Or a triad is the first three and what some would usually a call a power chord.
If you know cowboy chords, then the interval would be broken down in it's own way. Like a G Major cowboy chord - the interval would be the open G string and D at the 2nd string on the 3rd fret.
Basically, learn basic chords first. Then you automatically know the intervals that they're built from.

>>127149208At least it's not a CCP shitplank. South Korea. Do you play kpop on it.
>>127149188Very little of this is right. Strings are seperated by 4ths and are not variable intervals. Intervals are derived from a notes position in a key's diatonic scales. Power chords are not triads, triads are the root, third and 5th of a chord and have nothing to do with string positions. In fact power chords don't use the 3rd at all, and are just the root and the 5th. A 3-string power chord is just the root, the 5th and an octave of the root again. Because power chords don't include the 3rd they are "magic" in that they can be played in a major or minor context. They are not triads.

It's called trademark abandonment due to failure to enforce.

Bridge pickup highlights mistakes better than neck pickup.
Reverb/Delay mask unclean play.

>>127149916Of an acoustic? Maybe a tiny bit, but I doubt it'd be noticeable outside of a lab environment.
Acoustic instruments want air for reverberation, not more mass.

>>127149610learn your major scale; everything is derived from it.with this you can: know all scale shapes, know all chord shapes, build your relative pitch, learn the nashville number system, understand the positions on the fretboard. it also helps you learn songs because 98% of people are playing in a scalar sense (not just random notes).
to practice with it you can: sing your scales, dissect and build your own chords to see how they sound, experiment with chord embellishments like walk-ups and hammer ons, hear how chord inversions work against a harmony, use target notes and chord tones to build solos (improv/composition training).

You guys are making me blush. You guys gotta remember its not a competition though and that kinda thinkin' wont get you anywhere. Think of it like enjoying a nice steak dinner, who cares if the guy next to you can cut it better or eat it better ya know? You're still enjoying a nice steak. Play with whatever makes you comfortable, I prefer drum loops since it sounds more musical.

Props to B.C. Rich for staying true to their roots and pushing original guitar design. In a world full of Fender and Gibson clones, it's refreshing to see a brand that dares to be different. Their bold, aggressive shapes and unique style are a testament to real innovation in guitar craftsmanship. Keep leading, not following!

>>127152974Lovely finishes
>>127152998What makes bass easier? I've never even held one before
>>127153017It's not necessarily easier, just different. I played bass in an actual band setting and was good at it and was good at grooves and I liked working with the drummer.
I have none of that with guitar. I'm just flailing trying to sound good and I never do and it's been way, way too long with this shit.
>>127153017depends on your genre. if you want to play dadrock or metal you can just chug a single note. in general bass in a lot harder because you have to play in time, in a way that compliments the harmony, and make other players better. guitar you can just hit a chord a few times per bar and play the godawfullest solo and only people who understand music will be mad at you.

>>127152974>Left Mustang7/10

>>127153017> What makes bass easierIt's not. It's just that people have lower expectations when it comes to bass players (just chug some root notes) and by extension most bassplayers have low expectations when it comes to themselves.
In short: bass is not easier as an instrument to be good at. However it is easier to be a bass player that most people will be happy with.
