Cool album cover wasted on a putrid dogshit album
Anonymous No.127153047
nah the album is a catchy hard rock/pop rock album with even some proginess
unjustly maligned album mostly because of the time it was released, the fact that it was released by a band called black sabbath, and because ozzy was kicked out after it
only real misstep is breakout

the opening riff of air dance is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard

It's the opposite I think and I've only ever heard one song on it so far.

Admittedly it's the weakest of al the 70s Ozzy era albums, but it shouldn't be so easily and readily dismissed.
The first two tracks alone are worth the price of admission, even if the title track is a bad, second rate Thin Lizzy rip off. (It's still a good song, though)

I'd say that applies more to picrel.

Thank you. And if I didn't like the riff on Sabbath, why would I on Lizzy, especially considering they recorded FAR better and heavier songs?

Actually, I like both Black Sabbath, and Thin Lizzy.
Also, I like the songs The Boys Are back In Town, and Never Say Die, but, let's face it, NSD is just a second rate rip off of TBABIT.
That doesn't make it a bad song, though.

it's like KISS's Creatures of the Night. good album, unfortunately released when the band's marketability was at an all time low

I like them both too, just not this happy-go-lucky riff.

Never Say Die, Air Dance, Shock Wave and Over to You are all worthy of being put on a mix CD or a playlist.

The rest are good fillers.
