I played dry for my whole life. I'm thinking about going wireless from the whole setup to my amp and from my guitar to the board. Is that a good idea or should I just run cables?

It’s actually pretty simple if you listen to the isolated tracks and watch the zakk wylde play through on YouTube. I’ll record and post it later. Need to see if I can figure out how to get my Bluetooth midi switcher to change the channels on neural dsp or I will have to record the clean and dirty channels separately. Might do that anyway to get all the harmonies in.

Is it just me or are musicians kinda cunts? Maybe "hater" is a better word. I'm only just getting a foothold in the scene in my city and I've already come across an alarming amount of big ego people. They shit on other bands, musicians, gear, etc. when like who the hell fucking cares, 90% of us are just nerds with hobbies doing this for fun.

The guy in my band for example told us that we were the only musicians he'd met that were skilled enough to be worth his time. I kinda get the sentiment, but who the fuck says shit like that?

it should actually be dependent on your bridge system and scale length. fender-scale floaters do best with 9s, whereas as gibson scale and extended tonality guitars do best with 10s and above. the bridge is important too, you dont want 9s on a FR or it'll go out of tune the second you try to palm mute.
warm-up/practice on heavier strings isn't a bad idea though

There's a paywall for anything decent. Tonexone at $100 is wild. It runs amplitube which is sorta free, but most of the functions work much better having at least the hardware pedal. You can run GarageBand or download amp plug-ins for any DAW, but you need an interface to get around latency or to simply get the guitar into your computer well.

So that gave me the idea to just get a busking license for a day and just take my old microcube and sit down and do scale practice with a looper for some basic chord harmonization. I actually made a few bucks doing that.

What more could you ask for? I may have gotten a stellar example, but the consensus seems pretty good on the Sonic line in general. I have a Sonic Mustang as well that I have tuned down to C and it holds that tuning with acoustic gauge strings very well. That one need some fret cleanup though.

you cant make any decent money selling your music on streaming sites, you can make money touring, you can only fight to get yourself a social media following, so I really wonder why anyone even bothers trying to make it in music now

I'm not being antagonistic though. Embrace it. Maybe Tim Henson meant it as an insult. I dunno. But it made me realize why it was good in the first place. Like we're talking about Bowie. He had Ronno for awhile. He could blast you into space with one bend. The end of Moonage Daydream is one or two notes. lol. But that's all you need, if you're him.

Yeah Ronson was great. I think the age of the boomer bends like that are gone unless the song is meant to be a throwback, still think a well placed bend can have great effect though.

Speaking of boomer bends, how did Roger Waters bend? You listen to something like 'wish you were here' and it's like the bend cuts off at it's height.

all he said was many people aimed for similar things on the guitar and he was trying to come up with something beyond the included voca and its like everyone freaked out as if he said all their favourite guitarists were hacks or something. he literally says that it can be cool to use these licks sometimes, its just not what he was going for

I can't read those words without going through the whole song fuck you.

What's the difference of never knowing at all
When every step I take is always too small?
Maybe it's just something I can't admit
But lately, I feel like I don't give a shit
Motivation's such an aggravation
Accusations, don't know how to take them
Inspiration's getting hard to fake it
Concentration, never hard to break it
Situation never what you want it to be
What's the point of never making mistakes?
Self-indulgence, such a hard habit to break
It's all just a waste of time in the end
Don't care, so why should I even pretend?
Motivation's such an aggravation
Accusations, don't know how to take them
Inspiration's getting hard to fake it
Concentration, never hard to break it
Situation never what you wanted
Nothing's new (everything's the same)
Keeps on draggin' me down (It's getting kind of lame)
Falling further behind (there's nothing to explain)
No matter what you say, nothing's gonna change my mind
Can't depend on doubt until the end
It seems like leaving friends has become this year's trend
And though I can't pretend, afraid to be this way
It's not the same, but who's to blame for all those stupid things I never said?
Motivation's such an aggravation
Accusations, don't know how to take them
Inspiration's getting hard to fake it
Concentration, never hard to break it
Motivation's such an aggravation
