Which is obviously still bad on the surface, but I am suggesting that maybe things aren't as they appear on the surface. I don't know the details of the case, but he was clearly heavily involved in one way or another with the victim, and he was also almost certainly heavily involved in distributing drugs, so it doesnt seem unreasonable to me that accepting this plea deal was better than any other charges he might have gotten had he tried to fight the case.

Obviously it's still entirely possible that he's just a kidnapping rapist and he deserves to be locked up, I just think it's hard to know the truth in a muddy case where every one involved is a crackhead.
