When discussing best Type O Negative albums why doesnโ€™t World Coming Down ever get mentioned?

What a coincidence, I've been re-listening to this album from start to finish today, it really comprises some of the band's best songs.
But the absolute peak is the title track and in particular the section from 3:38

The atmosphere is absolutely immaculate

It's too "serious" for people. Also it followed October Rust, which was a tough one to match up to back then. Most of their fanbase at that moment in time were goths and goth-adjacent metal kids, so when they decided to go FULL 70s rock/The Beatles/etc. it turned a lot of those people off. The song Creepy Green Light almost feels like it's poking fun at the kids who got into them during the Bloody Kisses/October Rust era & is the only "silly" song on the record.

I prefer it/Life Is Killing Me/Dead Again over the other two these days. October Rust was great but it does get a bit too simpering to anyone over the age of 16, and he sings with that "whine singing" the guy from My Dying Bride always uses, and Bloody Kisses just has too much filler.

They were already poking fun at goths on Black No. 1

As for WCD, it's just a really a depressing album, but in an adult sense, mainly with Pete reconciling with his dad's death while he was becoming addicted to coke. You watch the live footage at that time and you can see his looks fade from doing so much of it, it's heart breaking.
