I'm not just talking about the leader role, but a more experienced idol, not all noob trainees. Yes, we know the contracts are in place. There are so many alternative paths the group could have taken besides the way they went (rogue livestreams to announce leaving, public fiasco, etc.). As people bring up, Hanni "took the lead," but it's evident she had some weird personal vendetta (the bowing situation) and if you were there as the livestream stuff happened, you remember the vibe. Hanni was the most vocal, while the other girls seemed to be half-heartedly along for the ride.
A more level-headed experienced idol leader would probably have favored a behind-the-scenes reconciliation to compromise and still work with MHJ in some capacity. Not the total burning bridges route they went.
