Why is it such a painful experience?

You are all artifice, fakes emotions and taste, you suffer and struggle when you talk to someone more authentic.

because they only like something solely because it's popular and thus will reduce their chances of social stigmatization, and in the case of dudes, because it will increase their chances of getting laid. mundane, soulless behavior. i'd rather talk with a wall.

talking about music is always a painful experience.

The only thing you can say about music that has any value to anyone is, "I got a lot out of album xyz, if you haven't listened to it you might want to give it a try."

The rest is bullshit. Nobody cares what you don't like or don't understand, nobody is better off for you shitting on an album or artist you don't like.

Critics are utterly, totally useless.
