Kind of a weird coincidence that John Lennon's best friend died mysteriously right before The Beatles became the biggest band in the world.
>>127183097 (OP)It’s pretty weird, I don't know anything about him but he looked like a rich kid, and the fact that he was flashing masonic signs makes me think he wasn't an average person, unfortunately i dont know anything beyond that
>>127183097 (OP)I thought john’s best friend was pete shotton (or whatever his name is)
>>127183223I don't personally know how John ranked all his friends, but Paul said he'd been jealous over how close Stu and John were.
John kicked him in the head which might have caused his brain hemorrhage. He also got into bar fights though so it might not have been john who killed him

Would have fit better in either a gothic or smiths adjacent indie band tho
>>127183641He was a phenomenally talented painter. I feel like there's an alternate world where Lennon died, The Beatles broke up, and Sutcliffe became their visual arts equivalent.
>>127183097 (OP)He was sacrificed to Moloch.
Its kind of what made The Beatles what they were, John and Paul were into art in a general sense, poems, books, cartoons, music was just one thing they tried and fell in with an arty crowd through Stu and the art school and then Astrid Kercherr and Klaus Voorman.
If there wasn't that kind of mentality at work they'd have been The Animals or something.
Backbeat isn't wildly inaccurate and Stephen Dorf makes a good Stuart Sutcliffe.
>>127183097 (OP)>>127183215>>127186237I'm really into boyband lore too. Are you gay as well?
Is it better to have been Stu Sutcliffe, who never knew what the band would become?
Or is it better to be Pete Best, who has lived out his life, wondering what might have been?
>>127183097 (OP)Looksmogges the rest along with Pete Best
>>127186644Pete Best
>Not dying in your 20s>Getting millions of dollars from 10 recordings you made>Getting international fame, interviews, Liverpool landmarks named after you, books of your life, advert appearances>Getting paid to go to cons and interact with fans as basically the star guest everytime you appear>Open a Beatles museum with the income you made>Get the chance to use the notoriety of yourself to get a band (which he failed to do, but still)Yeah it sucks ass knowing you narrowly missed out of the takeoff of the biggest band ever but if there was any band to be kicked out of so you could make a living off it it was The Beatles
