unironically had this experience growing up
lesbians are commonly outspoken. they express sexuality, they have bold styles, they are unafraid of speaking frankly. it's a highly attractive quality, especially to a meek man, which I most assuredly was as an adolescent

Doesn't hurt that lesbians are also more than capable of participating in straight relationships.
