Her and Charli D'Amelio are low-hanging fruit and basically approved people that you are allowed to bully and hate amongst normies. They think their fame is undeserved, much of it rooted in jealousy that they were able to essentially build generational wealth through making dancing videos on tiktok. I guess being a child actor then pivoting to music is a lot more prestigious and respectable in their eyes even though building a large social media presence is more difficult than being selected by a casting agency.
It's also funny to me how people here will call her mid / ugly but then also try to claim that she only has a career because of her looks.
But the perception since her album and single releases has shifted dramatically since the release of her first song 'Obsessed'. Which was ridiculed very heavily and the song is not even that bad but it was mostly due to the tiktok stigma. Diet Pepsi would have probably been just as rejected if it came out in 2021 which was at the peak of the hate of tiktok famous people.
She's yet to be fully accepted by the larger mainstream crowd because they have this mindless dismissal of her due to this tiktok stigma but there's mostly a positive reception of her now and it's generally accepted even amongst the music nerd crowd that her album is good. A lot of the current hate is mostly from woke types because there's a thing going around that she's a Zionist because she has an Israeli boyfriend and was eager to meet Trump in 2021.
