Punks have never bought his leather jacket and indie connections because Lemmy Kilmister's grizzled-biker-born-to-rock is metal without the heavy--no preening solos or blow-dried bullshit. I recommend the bit where he promises to get fast and loose with his latest receptacle as soon as he finishes the song about it (not her, of course not), and note that his writing is more one-note than need be, wit and all--fucking for the hell of it can drive anybody into a rage, and tuneless fucking for the hell of it is really pointless. Anthem: "(We Are) The Road Crew." B

Sounds accurate. Motorhead are most popular in places that were traditional Hells Angels strongholds such as California.

I really enjoyed the Lemmy, follow him around with a film crew for a few weeks and annoy him, documentary I found a few months back. One of the best rock docs I've seen.

the 80s were freaking insane what you could get away with. i have female relatives who were in school back then and told me how high school girls dating grown dudes in their 20s was seen as no big deal or treated with a wink wink nudge nudge and that girls who dated guys their own age were laughed at. plus all the rock mags like Circus and Creem openly promoting adult rock singers as sex symbols to young girls. like even after Aerosmith and KISS had their comebacks the mags would be having spreads of Steven Tyler and Paul Stanley when they were well into their 30s with the implication that "hey 15 year old girls, want a piece of this?"

The 80s? This lasted until the late 2000s. When Myspace started it was open season for guys in bands to fuck as many teen emo girls as possible and the girls saw it as a status symbol
